Sergey Levkovich held a personal reception of citizens in Vitebsk
Residents of the northern region turned to the Presidential Aide – Inspector for Vitebsk Region Sergey Levkovich with pressing problems, complaints about the inaction of responsible services, disagreement with adopted decisions, and personal issues.
For example, for a year now, residents of house No. 59 on Lenin Street have been struggling with sewage flooding their basement. Periodically, the smell of feces is noticeable when approaching the entrance. People call the "115" service, the housing and utility service No. 1, and emergency repair services. Some work is being done, but the problem is not being solved. Residents of the neighboring house, No. 61, also appealed to the Presidential Aide with a similar complaint. Sergey Levkovich instructed the city authorities to thoroughly address this issue.
– I have repeatedly been approached about basement flooding in various districts of the regional center. Serious measures must be taken to eliminate such complaints, – noted the Presidential Aide.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Alexey Geroev, explained that the "Basements" program will be implemented starting this year. It includes 70 houses, and 3 million has been allocated for the work.
Individual entrepreneur Andrey Abramovich raised a relevant issue.
– Since 2019, we have improved the beach on Polonskoye Lake in Vitebsk District. We cleaned the bottom. We provide various services: gazebo rental, "banana boat" rides. Our services are free for children from the local school. Many people come here for recreation. On sunny days, over a thousand people gather on the beach. This is according to data from OSVOD, which has set up its post here. And now they want to lease the lake, make entry paid, and claim everything that we have done over seven years, – said the entrepreneur.
– The issue of lake leasing periodically arises. In my opinion, local authorities should study the situation from various angles and be guided by the interests of citizens living in nearby settlements. I see no need to lease Lake Polonskoye. Everything there is well-maintained, the beach is kept in good condition, and the shoreline is cultivated, – said Sergey Levkovich.
Analyzing all the appeals, the President's aide concluded that it is impossible to fully satisfy the needs of the citizens who appealed to him. Some have already gone through court instances and received responses from the prosecutor's office. This means that these issues have already been worked out quite seriously.
– However, a decision has been made to further study the raised problems and provide maximum assistance to citizens without infringing on the interests of other people. There were appeals related to housing and communal services. It is evident that systematic work has begun in this direction, and certain funds have been allocated for the repair of engineering networks in residential buildings. In resolving any issues, one must be guided by people's interests, – emphasized Sergey Levkovich.
