Flax sowing in Belarus is planned to be completed by May 7

April 27, Orsha / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Sowing of flax in Belarus is planned to be completed by May 7, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vasily Pavlovsky told a BELTA correspondent. Flax crops will amount to 70 thousand hectares, which will allow harvesting 60 thousand tons of flax fiber. As of today, 36% of the areas allocated for this crop have been sown. According to Vasily Pavlovsky, flax-growing farms are fully provided with seeds, including those of foreign selection. This year, the machine fleet of flax-sowing enterprises will be replenished with more than 300 units of new equipment, both domestic and imported. At the same time, the Deputy Minister noted that there is still a stock of long flax fiber from the previous harvest at the flax mills of the republic, which still remains unclaimed by the Orsha Flax Mill. -0-
