You can purchase the main attribute of the winter holiday at forestry enterprises and Christmas tree markets. In Vitebsk, their network will expand to 22 locations this year. Mass sales will take place in the regional center with the participation of all forestry enterprises in the region on December 28 and 29. The traditional bestseller – blue spruces – will be brought by the Glubokoye Experimental Forestry Enterprise. Taking into account the huge demand of past years, the forestry enterprise is preparing about 500 blue spruces, some of which will be in tubs. The price of unusual trees 1.5-2 m high will be over Br100 thousand. The cost of a regular green beauty up to 1 m high will be Br60 thousand, 1-2 m – Br80 thousand, 2-3 m – Br115 thousand.
In total, throughout the region, for the Christmas and New Year holidays, the forestry enterprises of Vitebsk GPKHO plan to sell over 40 thousand forest beauties, including about 200 super-trees. Giants from 3 m to 5 m high will decorate squares, areas near administrative buildings, educational institutions, etc.
Oleg Gritskevich also reminded about the responsibility for illegal tree felling. Close control over this will be carried out from mid-December by forestry workers, traffic police officers, tax authorities, the regional committee for natural resources and environmental protection, and other interested departments as part of raid groups.
