Shalom Aleichem! Peace be upon you!

Every three years, the creative teams of the State Institution "Vitebsk Culture Center" are obliged to confirm their honorary titles, earned through diligent work and years of creative exploration. On March 16, 2013, the Jewish national vocal and choreographic ensemble "VITETBSKIYE DEVCHATA" will defend its "People's" title with a reporting concert "SHALOM ALEICHEM!", or "PEACE BE WITH YOU!".

"VITETBSKIYE DEVCHATA" is unique in that, despite the respectable age of its participants, the ensemble continues to develop, mastering dances and folklore of various peoples of the world. Naturally, the core of the repertoire consists of Jewish folk dances and songs; however, the audience will undoubtedly be delighted by the Belarusian block, as well as individual numbers representing more exotic cultures, such as the Mexican dance "SAPATEO". Music, songs, dances – all the newest and all the best. It gives the impression that spring never leaves "VITETBSKIYE DEVCHATA", bestowing creative energy, inspiration, and mood. This year, the ensemble expects to conquer the audience again in Grodno at the International Festival of National Cultures, of which it is already a seven-time laureate.

The reporting concert of the People's Jewish National Vocal and Choreographic Ensemble "VITETBSKIYE DEVCHATA" skillfully intervenes in the dispute between winter and spring, as if saying to them "SHALOM ALEICHEM!" – peace be with you!
