Vitebsk chefs study star preferences and perfect their draniki-making skills

July 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Vitebsk chefs are studying the culinary preferences of the stars arriving at the festival this year and are perfecting their draniki-making skills, reports a BELTA correspondent who familiarized herself with the readiness of city cafes and restaurants to welcome the numerous guests of the "Slavianski Bazaar". The main accommodation points for famous artists will be the Luchosa and Eridan hotels. To please the guests, the former, for example, is already studying the favorite dishes of the sexy Thomas Anders and the world opera star Dmitry Hvorostovsky, known for his discerning taste. Raymond Pauls, an outstanding composer, and the beauties from the band "Blestyashchie" will be met calmly and confidently at the Eridan. All establishments hope to satisfy the stars' requests with a wide and varied menu. The high professionalism of the chefs allows them not to worry about the offered items and to prepare dishes at the artists' request, even those not listed. The newly opened "Severnaya Stolitsa" restaurant is also betting on this: they are actively working on the menu, focusing on signature dishes. "We all live in the same world and eat practically the same products, the main thing is to cook them deliciously," noted the "Vitebsky Traktir" cafe, a favorite of festival participants. Another proven principle of Vitebsk cafes and restaurants: if you want to feed a star deliciously, offer them the main culinary hit of the festival - draniki. Therefore, on the eve of the festival, the city's chefs are perfecting their skills in preparing this dish, as well as studying other recipes of national Belarusian cuisine. It is also noteworthy that most truly stellar performers are not demanding in their choices: vegetable salads and seafood are among the most popular dishes, and complex delicacies have to be prepared not so often. On the one hand, this can be explained by the hot weather that usually accompanies the "Slavianski Bazaar". The constant diets of artists, who are forced to keep themselves in shape, also make the chefs' lives easier. -0-
