Six cars seized from illegal taxi drivers in Vitebsk region in January-April

Tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region, based on the results of control measures in January-April of the current year, seized six cars from illegal taxi drivers, valued at a total of Br130 million. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press center of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties for the Vitebsk region. In total, over 50 thematic operational checks of the passenger car transportation sector were carried out during the four months. As a result, more than 40 cases of individuals carrying out entrepreneurial activities without state registration were identified, including in eight cases, illegal taxi drivers were repeatedly brought to the attention of tax authorities. The offenders were fined a total of Br4 million. Also, during control measures, 10 violations of the law were established on the part of business entities providing passenger transportation services, and more than Br1 million in taxes were additionally accrued. The amount of fines for violators amounted to Br13 million. -0-
