Six agreements worth $180 million were signed at the investment forum in Vitebsk

October 15, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Six agreements totaling over $180 million were signed today at the investment forum in Vitebsk, a BELTA correspondent reports.

A memorandum of intent was signed between the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and OOO "Ethnоpark" (Vitebsk) on the creation of an ethnographic park of culture. In accordance with the project, it will reflect the characteristic features of the national architecture of peasant houses, everyday life and cuisine of the peoples of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

Logistikas Partneri SIA (Latvia) was attracted by the investment proposal of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant for the development of cargo transport logistics, and IOOO "Tatbelnefteprodukt" (Tatarstan) by the opportunity to develop a network of gas filling stations in the Vitebsk region. Representatives of the Tatarstan company signed two agreements on the construction of gas filling stations in the Tolochinsky and Dokshitsky districts.

The development of the roadside service network in Pridvinye will receive a new impetus. A memorandum of intent on the creation of facilities in this area was concluded by the Dokshitsky District Executive Committee and OOO "LesTransExport" (Minsk), as well as the Senno District Executive Committee and ODO "Margen" (Senno District).

The investment forum brought together representatives of 40 companies from Russia, Poland, Latvia, as well as diplomatic missions in Vitebsk. 140 projects from various economic entities of the Vitebsk region were presented to investors. A significant part of them is related to the creation of production facilities for processing local raw materials - wood, dolomite, clay, peat, as well as to the development of roadside services and tourist infrastructure.
