Sixteen typical business plans for rural entrepreneurs have been developed in the Vitebsk region
July 8, Vitebsk / Sergei Kotovets - BELTA /. Standard business plans for 16 areas of activity have been developed in the Vitebsk region to support the entrepreneurial initiative of rural residents. This was announced today by Valentin Tsvetkov, Head of the Entrepreneurship Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee, during a round table on the development of rural entrepreneurship, according to a BELTA correspondent.
Free market niches for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas have been identified based on the results of a marketing study of the resource potential of rural regions. The study was conducted by the Vitebsk Marketing Center in conjunction with representatives of the Vitebsk State Technological University at the request of the regional executive committee. During the work, the state of small entrepreneurship in the region's districts was analyzed, and in-demand types of activities were identified, taking into account various factors, including their resource support. "Often, initiative rural residents turn to us for help in starting their own business, and the research results allow us to competently guide them towards the most relevant types of businesses for a particular locality," stated Valentin Tsvetkov.
Thus, among the priority areas is the development of import-substituting products, including those based on the processing of agricultural products and the use of local raw materials. In addition, for rural entrepreneurs, promising businesses may include the organization of various types of services - rental services, hotel business (creation of guest houses), transportation, fitness and recreational services, and entertainment services.
Based on the research results, the Vitebsk Marketing Center has published brochures with general conclusions and recommendations, taking into account the specifics of each district of the region. The materials have been transferred to all city and district executive committees, where anyone wishing to start their own business can familiarize themselves with them. The brochures also contain examples of small business organization and options for standard business plans.
The project was implemented as part of the regional program for supporting small entrepreneurship.
As of June 1, a total of over 36.8 thousand small business entities are operating in the region, including almost 7.5 thousand legal entities and about 29.4 thousand individual entrepreneurs. At the same time, more than 68.5% of these entities are concentrated in the region's major cities. -0-
