The school in the Vitebsk microdistrict Bilevo-2 is 70% complete

The construction of the school began in 2012; due to funding problems, the work was suspended. Now, the construction of the school is proceeding actively. About 250 people are working at the site today. These are mainly employees of Vitebsk Stroyтрест №9; specialists from contracting organizations are also involved.

Head of Construction Department No. 38 Alexander Silantiev noted that the necessary communications have been installed in the school buildings, and heating will be connected here in November. "Finishing work is currently underway inside, and in some blocks, it is already completed, so we plan to start installing equipment and desks by the end of the year. Many classrooms are already ready for this," he noted.

Another building is being added to the main school buildings. It will house a gym, two swimming pools (10m for toddlers, 25m for older children), and a fitness room. The pool will be connected to the school building by a connecting gallery. The school will also have a shooting range, large sports hall, and a gymnastics hall. Outdoor courts for basketball, volleyball, running tracks, workout complexes, and large and mini-football fields have already been installed. Lighting at these facilities will allow for activities not only during the day.

Construction work is progressing at a pace that will allow over 1,000 schoolchildren to take their seats on September 1, 2020. "Currently, the school is 70% complete. In June next year, we plan to hand it over to the customer - the Capital Construction Department of Vitebsk," noted Alexey Solodovnikov.

The Bilevo microdistrict is home to about 40,000 people. Houses are built here annually. The construction of kindergartens and schools remains a pressing issue for residents.
