Students of the Vitebsk region are preparing for summer by learning the basics of labor law

April 19, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Schoolchildren in the Vitebsk region are preparing for summer holidays by learning the basics of labor legislation, the first deputy head of the Vitebsk regional department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Sergey Anufriev, told a BELTA correspondent. Labor inspectors are holding lectures on labor relations regulation specifically for high school students and graduates of 9th grade general education schools. Since December, about 9,000 schoolchildren in the region have been introduced to the basics of labor legislation on regulating labor relations for persons under 18 years of age. During the meetings, inspectors not only familiarize the children with the main provisions concerning youth employment but also answer numerous questions from the audience. "This indicates a sufficiently high interest of schoolchildren in this topic and allows schoolchildren to receive complete information on the issues that concern them most, as many of the children are planning to earn some money during the summer," noted Sergey Anufriev. The active form of communication also allowed labor state inspectors to draw another conclusion: only a few of the schoolchildren present at the meetings are sufficiently aware of labor legislation issues. Therefore, it is planned to continue classes with young people in the next academic year. -0-
