Students from the Vitebsk region won 34 diplomas at the republican Olympiad
This year, the final part of the intellectual marathon took place later than usual and in a reduced format – only for 11th graders. But participation for them is really important – winners have a number of benefits when entering universities.
According to the information from the main department for education of the regional executive committee, 74 students participated in the final. The most diplomas were won in Russian language (5), mathematics (4), computer science (4), Belarusian language (3). The leaders of the оlympiad movement in the region this year were Vitebsk gymnasiums No. 8 (6 diplomas), No. 2 (5), No. 1 named after J. Alfiorov (2), Polotsk State Gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skorina (5).
It is worth noting that the оlympiads were held in various cities of the country with maximum epidemiological safety measures: children lived and ate individually, there were no ceremonial events. For some subjects, for example, foreign languages, the number of rounds was reduced, and for physical education, there were no competitions in the swimming pool.
