"There is a catastrophic shortage of seamstresses." OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" urgently requires workers

From the very first days, OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" joined the fight against the pandemic in the region. The enterprise reoriented its production to sewing disposable medical protective clothing, postponing all other projects. Today, it produces thousands of coveralls, gowns, shoe covers, and caps that are so necessary for medical professionals. The company is constantly increasing its output.

– We have invested all our working capital in materials and are ready to significantly increase the volume of manufactured products, – said the director of the enterprise, Vitaly Starikovich. – Especially since the demand for it remains high. However, we are critically short of seamstresses. We are ready to hire about 50 people today. We will help non-residents with dormitory accommodation.

Students of the Vitebsk State Industrial-Technological College, who are undergoing practical training at the enterprise, are also contributing to this noble cause. Three girls can sew over a hundred caps per shift, honing their skills every day, and thus increasing their speed.

Today, more than 15 enterprises cooperate with OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" on a contractual basis.
