The "Vitebchanka" sewing enterprise will allocate Br900 million for re-equipment.

December 28, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Vitebsk regional garment enterprise "Vitebchanka" will allocate Br900 million for technical re-equipment in 2009-2010, the enterprise director Andrey Mashchenko told a BELTA correspondent. As part of the production modernization, domestic equipment for the cutting shop and 45 machines of German production for the sewing shop have already been purchased. The equipment has been received, and its installation and commissioning are underway. This year, over Br300 million will be invested in the project implementation, with the remaining part to be invested next year. As a result of large-scale technical re-equipment, the enterprise plans to reach 110% of the 2009 production volume in 2010. Sales growth is expected to be Br669 million. In addition, the quality of manufactured products will significantly improve, and the range will be expanded, which will allow for the production of competitive products, said Andrey Mashchenko. The payback period of the project is five years. Technical re-equipment is financed by the investment fund of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee (90%) and own investments (10%). Based on the results of 2009, the enterprise will produce products worth Br5.5 billion, which is 14% more compared to 2008. It is also expected that "Vitebchanka" will reach the break-even level of operation with a positive profitability of 1%. The enterprise director noted that this year the factory's fashion designer Tamara Agati received a letter of gratitude from the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee for developing linen clothing collections and was among the top three designers in the Vitebsk region in 2009. Another significant achievement of the year was the increase in the share of own production output to 31%. "The remaining part is accounted for by tolling orders and services. In 2008, they accounted for up to 90%," Andrey Mashchenko clarified. The enterprise was founded in 1945. In 2001, it became a communal property. It specializes in the production of men's, women's, and children's outerwear. The range includes over 100 types of products. The total number of employees is over 300 people. -0-
