Strong wind has de-energized more than 200 settlements in the Vitebsk region

On November 4, due to strong winds, emergency power outages occurred in 203 settlements in 4 districts of the Vitebsk region – Gluboksky, Vitebsky, Polotsky, and Orshansky.

As of 13:30, 70 out of 203 settlements remain without electricity. Power has been restored to 22 out of 25 farms. 121 out of 408 transformer substations remain de-energized. 34 power lines were damaged, of which power has been restored to 11.

The strongest winds caused the most severe consequences in the Gluboksky and Polotsky districts.

Currently, restoration work is underway, with a total of 89 units of equipment and 312 people involved in restoring power supply, according to the press service of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
