Strong wind destroyed a farm in the Postavy district

Strong winds in the Postavy district caused the collapse of the livestock farm of SPC "Kamaysky" in the village of Otskovichi, the propaganda and training center at the Vitebsk regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told a BELTA correspondent. The farm workers were not injured. A two-month-old calf died under the rubble. Rescuers, who arrived at the scene, had to use emergency rescue tools to pull three more cows out from under the rubble, which were in the premises with the calf. As a result of the wind (gusts up to 24 m/s), the walls collapsed and the roof fell over the entire area of the building. The building is designed to house 178 heads of cattle; at the time of the incident, there were only 3 cows and a calf inside.-0-
