The education system must implement in practice the principle of lifelong learning
The education system must work to effectively implement the principle of lifelong learning in practice. This was announced in Vitebsk by the First Deputy Minister of Education, Vadim Bogush, who took part in the regional pedagogical August conference.
"The education system must work to implement the principle of lifelong learning in practice. Currently, there is a global demand for highly qualified specialists, and people with a high level of education are employed in the economy. Any specialist has a constant need for professional development. Our task is to implement this principle effectively in practice. If a person does not work on themselves and does not learn, they quickly become obsolete in their profession," emphasized the First Deputy Minister.
At the regional August conferences, which are currently taking place throughout the country, representatives of the relevant ministry, together with educators and authorities, discuss the directions of the education system. "First of all, we are talking about the transition to specialized education in high school. This is a new development this year, although not an entirely innovative thing. There are many developments in the republic, and extensive preliminary work has been done. We aim to introduce specializations reasonably, thoughtfully, and taking into account the wishes and capabilities of teaching staff, children, and parents for the realization of personal development," noted Vadim Bogush.
