The system of training of working personnel in the Vitebsk region awaits a number of transformations - Nikolai Sherstnev
The key topic of the meeting was the issue of improving the system of training mid-level and higher-level specialists, and vocational personnel for enterprises in the real sector of the economy. "The problem is not in the distribution of personnel, but in the fact that young specialists who come to enterprises do not meet the desired level of employers; they are not ready for independent work. They need to be retrained, taught. Therefore, our main task is to form a strong interaction between vocational education institutions, secondary vocational schools, and enterprises in industry and agriculture. It is possible that a decision will be made to create clusters in which a number of enterprises will work in conjunction with specific educational institutions," emphasized the chairman of the regional executive committee. He is convinced that along with theory, more practice should be provided, which students should undergo for six months to a year, depending on the specifics of the profession, at the enterprises where they plan to work in the future. "This time will be enough for a young person to decide on their choice of profession and place of work. On the other hand, the employer will also consider him as a specialist during this time," said Nikolai Sherstnev.
The meeting was attended by heads of enterprises in the region, who shared their vision of the problem and methods for its solution. For example, SOOO "Belvest" has adopted a mentorship practice. At "Vitebskiye Podemniki" company, additional training of specialists is conducted at their own training center, specially created at the enterprise for these purposes. Sewing OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii" sees the prospect of developing its divisions in rural areas.
Another important nuance is related to career guidance work, which should be carried out during the period of children's schooling. "How to attract them to production is the task of the enterprise head. It is necessary to create conditions that will motivate young people. With
with various support and contractual obligations, it is necessary to secure future specialists during their studies at vocational education institutions and train them on our own base," believes Nikolai Sherstnev. All proposals from employers and heads of educational institutions for improving the personnel training system will be summarized by a working group, which will be created in the near future. "It will include industrialists, heads of educational institutions, and officials representing the regional executive committee. Together, we will determine our next steps," concluded the governor.
