Quality management systems of the ISO 9001 series were implemented by 40 enterprises in the Vitebsk region in 2009

January 21, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Forty enterprises in the Vitebsk region certified their production for compliance with the ISO 9001 quality management system in 2009. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification. Among those certified are Fortex-Water Technologies LLC, Vitebsk House-Building Combine, Vitebsk Regional Printing House, etc. In total, the ISO 9001 system has been implemented at 219 enterprises in the region. Food industry enterprises are actively working to improve product quality. 30 of them have already implemented a quality and food safety management system based on risk analysis and critical control points (HACCP), including in 2009 - at Fortex-Water Technologies LLC, Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Plant, Vitebsk Confectionery Combine "Vitba" and the Cooperative Industry Combine of Postavy Region. At the same time, Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Plant was the first in the republic to receive the LST EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management system and LST EN ISO 22000:2005 food safety compliance certificates last year. Export-oriented enterprises of the region, interested in promoting their goods to the European market, strive to obtain certification for the right to use the CE mark. Currently, only six manufacturers in the region have the right to this marking: Simurg CJSC, Expanded Clay Aggregate Plant, Vitebsk Radio Components Plant "Monolit", Krasny Borets Machine-Tool Plant, Vitebsk Production Association "Vityaz" and Energokomplekt Production Association. Certification of occupational safety management systems STB 18001 and environmental management systems STB ISO 14001 is of significant importance for enterprises. They have been implemented at 43 (including 21 in 2009) and 17 enterprises in the region (3) respectively. Participation in republican and international competitions helps enterprises successfully promote products, find new customers, and confirm a high level of quality. Last year, Vitebsk Confectionery Combine "Vitba" became a laureate of the competition for the Government of the Republic of Belarus Prize for achievements in the field of quality. 30 enterprises of the region became laureates of the "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus" competition, 10 - of the "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation Market" competition, and Polotsk-Steklovolokno OJSC - a laureate of the CIS Prize for achievements in the field of product and service quality. -0-
