The situation at enterprises in the Orsha district is improving - Andrei Kobyakov
The government, together with the Vitebsk regional executive committee and the Orsha district executive committee, has been working since mid-April to implement the head of state's instructions on the development of the Orsha district. At the first stage, two tasks were set: to implement priority measures to improve the efficiency of the financial and economic activities of enterprises, and to determine their development prospects. "As a result of the work done, the situation in the district and at the enterprises, including problematic ones, is improving," Andrei Kobyakov stated.
In January-October 2017, the volume of industrial production in the Orsha district was 100.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2016 (for comparison, in January-April 2017, this figure was 93%). Growth has also been observed in agriculture, exports and average wages in the district have increased. These shifts would have been impossible without solving many difficult problems with limited financial resources. "For example, accounts have been unblocked, wages are paid without delay, working conditions have been improved, and order has been established in the workshops and on the territories of the enterprises. It is difficult, but the issues of financing the construction objects of the agro-industrial complex are being consistently resolved," the Prime Minister noted.
