The Investigative Committee of Belarus expects proposals from the Ministry of Education in September on changing the system of selecting educators

September 14, Verkhnedvinsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The Investigative Committee of Belarus expects to receive a response from the Ministry of Education on changing the system of selection and training of pedagogical staff by the end of September. This was announced to journalists by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Valery Vakulchik, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent. In August, the Investigative Committee issued a recommendation to the Ministry of Education on changing the system of selection and training of pedagogical staff. This does not involve a radical change in the system, but it is necessary to take measures to identify the causes and conditions for committing crimes against minors, the head of the department emphasized. "A working group has been created at the Ministry of Education to study the issue. Within September, the Investigative Committee should be provided with a report on the measures taken. If this work does not meet the requirements initially set for eliminating the causes and conditions for committing crimes, we will, in accordance with the law, seek their elimination." Proposals for the selection and training of teachers should be enshrined in regulatory acts. "Children must know that they are protected," Valery Vakulchik emphasized. -0-
