The Polotsk city department of the Investigative Committee is conducting an inspection into the death and injury of workers in Polotsk, the official representative of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk region, Inna Gorbacheva, told a BELTA correspondent. During work not planned by the technological process, near a residential building under construction in Polotsk, an explosion occurred, as a result of which a welder born in 1990 died, and a fitter born in 1964 was seriously injured. Fragments of ammunition were found at the scene, their origin will be established after the examination, Inna Gorbacheva emphasized. An inspection is being carried out in this regard.
