The Investigative Committee is conducting an inspection to determine the cause of the fire at the egg warehouse on the territory of the poultry farm of OJSC "Gluboksky Feed Mill" Polotsk Production Unit, the official representative of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region, Inna Gorbacheva, told a BELTA correspondent. According to the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a report of a fire at the warehouse was received at noon on October 22 to the duty officer of the Polotsk City and District Department for Emergency Situations. The chief zootechnician explained that there was a fire in the egg warehouse building, located on the territory of the poultry farm of OJSC "Gluboksky Feed Mill" Polotsk Production Unit. 8 units of fire-fighting equipment were dispatched to the scene. Open burning was observed in the egg warehouse building, built in 2008, and smoke in the adjacent poultry farm premises. The enterprise's employees were not injured. The fire was localized at 12:48 PM and extinguished at 1:48 PM. As a result of the fire, the roof and 1 wall were destroyed in the room within the warehouse building, and the remaining walls were damaged. The material damage is being determined. -0-
