Skate park, floating fountain and bike paths - an updated embankment has been opened in Braslav
The embankment has become one of the main objects that were radically renovated for the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki". The new recreation area stretches from the bus station to Lysaya Gora. Sidewalks, food outlets, recreation areas, floating piers and fountains, a skate park, bike paths, parking have been equipped here, and video surveillance cameras have appeared. The investment volume in the project amounted to about Br2.5 million.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, noted that the Braslav region is primarily associated not with agricultural activities, but with tourism. The authorities' task is to make it the pearl of Belarus. "Two months are left until the festival of agricultural workers in Braslav. Much has already been done in the city, it has changed for the better. There is no doubt that "Dazhynki" at the end of September will be held with dignity," said the governor. The beach infrastructure has been improved. Changing rooms, canopies, sports grounds and children's entertainment have appeared here. Pedestrian crossings are equipped with lanterns.
The head of the Braslav region, Alexander Bodanin, added that the embankment will become a comfortable place for residents and guests of the city to relax. "We set ourselves the goal of growing by a large or small object every month in order to maintain the pace of work on the development of Braslav and the region," he noted. The plan for preparing Braslav for the regional "Dazhynki" includes about a hundred objects. Recently, a kindergarten was opened after major repairs, and the opening of the renovated secondary school No. 2 is planned for August. Repairs of healthcare facilities, housing stock, and courtyard areas are underway. The volume of budget funds is about Br19 million.
