The investment program of the Vitebsk region for 2020 has been adjusted
Work on improving water quality continues in the Vitebsk region. This year, 40 iron removal stations will be commissioned. Construction of another 80 stations is underway with credit resources from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This will improve the water supply quality for 30,000 rural residents by 2022. In addition, in addition to the ongoing projects, opportunities have been found to finance the preparation of design documentation for stations in eight more settlements from the budget; these are also to be commissioned next year.
As noted by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, the expanded list includes facilities in rural areas where the issue of providing the population with quality drinking water has been raised for several years by residents of settlements and deputies of councils at various levels. Now there is an opportunity to solve this pressing issue by reallocating financial resources, the head of the regional parliamentary corps revealed the details. Thus, the design of iron removal stations will begin this year in Dymanovo (Vitebsk district), Babichi (Glubokoye), Nurovo (Verkhnedvinsk), Gorshchevshchina (Toločin), Skoga and Belaya Lipa (Senno), agrotowns Bildyugi (Šarkovščina) and Dobryn (Dubrovno). Also, at the expense of the budget, it is planned to complete the construction of water supply engineering infrastructure for the Vasyuta residential area in Vitebsk, the urban settlement of Šarkovščina, and the village of Sujkova (Vitebsk district) this year.
Another new facility in the 2020 investment program is the slaughterhouse and processing plant for pigs and cattle at UP "Orsha Meat Canning Plant". 2.4 million rubles are to be allocated for the construction of engineering, transport, and technological infrastructure for it.
