Stradivarius violin in Vitebsk
The sound of a violin by the renowned Italian master Antonio Stradivari is truly captivating. The secret of his instruments remains unsolved to this day. Even during the master's lifetime, it was said that he sold his soul to the devil, and that the wood used to make some of his most famous violins was fragments of Noah's Ark. There is an opinion that Stradivari violins are so good because a genuine instrument only begins to sound truly well after two to three hundred years.
For the first time at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, there will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the incomparable sound of a Stradivari violin and the brilliant talent of a virtuoso musician, laureate of All-Russian and international competitions, soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic, Gayk Kazazyan. The musician performs with invariable success in Russia and abroad with symphony and chamber orchestras such as: the Scottish Royal Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Irish National Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, and many others. The program will feature the best works of 19th-century composers.
