A monumental decorative sculpture "Dzed-hlybachanin" has been unveiled on the shore of Lake Kagalnoye in Glubokoye.

Sculptor Sergey Tukhto depicted a collective image of a city resident, but his prototype was a local teacher, historian, and local lore expert Alexander Sobolevsky.

The monument was erected on the initiative and at the expense of the scientist's grandsons, Dmitry and Anton. This cost about 1 billion 300 million rubles, according to "Radio Racyja".

The sculpture depicts an elderly, intelligent man in a hat. He has a book on his knees. He is returning from fishing, and there is a caught fish in the boat. A cat sits nearby. The statue also contains additional images - a stork, and the Glubokoye Catholic and Orthodox churches.
