"Slavianski Bazaar" sends young contestants to "Wonderland", and adults – to the stage of the Summer Amphitheatre

July 11, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The XX International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" sends young contestants to "Wonderland," and adults to the Summer Amphitheatre stage. The adult and children's pop song contests are starting at the festival, reports a BELTA correspondent.

The XX International Pop Song Performers Contest "Vitebsk 2011" is the same age as the festival. It has launched more than one performer onto the big stage, so participating in it is already a great success for young talents. This year's contest features 20 performers from 20 countries. Belarus is represented by Alena Lanskaya.

Today is the first competition day for Alena and her fellow rivals. On the Summer Amphitheatre stage, they will perform a pop song in their native language accompanied by a minus-one backing track. And while Alena already knows she will perform under number 2 during the two competition days, Sasha Nekhay and Anna Atroshchenko, delegated to the children's contest by Belarus, will have to go to a draw in "Wonderland" to find out their lucky numbers. The contest directors will organize a boat trip for the young artists to a recreation park, where they will stage Lewis Carroll's famous fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland" with them. -0-
