"Slavianski Bazaar" will disperse the clouds over Vitebsk and give the city a real summer

July 8, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The "Slavianski Bazaar" will disperse the clouds over Vitebsk and bring real summer to the city, forecasters from the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring assure a BELTA correspondent. June and early July did not spoil Vitebsk residents with sunny summer weather. Only five days in June, instead of the average seven, saw temperatures rise to 25-30 degrees. But with the festival, warmth will come to Vitebsk, forecasters claim. The cyclone, under the influence of which the weather was formed in recent days, is receding and taking with it rains and cold air. It will be replaced by an anticyclone, which on the day of the grand opening of the XVIII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" on July 10 will bring comfortable sunny weather with about 25 degrees Celsius and no precipitation. The same weather will persist until the end of the current week. Forecasters promise precipitation only in some places. Rains have become one of the hallmarks of the "Slavianski Bazaar". Meteorologists do not deny this and have even compiled a festival weather rating. Thus, the most comfortable in terms of temperature and humidity were the very first "Slavianski Bazaar" in 1992, the third in 1994, and the eighth in 1999. Then the temperature reached 24-31 degrees Celsius, and the rains were short-lived or absent altogether. The sixth festival in 1997 turned out to be the coldest. The thermometer did not rise above 18 degrees. The tenth anniversary festival in 2001 surprised with an exhausting 33-degree heat and a complete absence of precipitation. It rained every day at the second festival in 1993 and in 2000 - at the ninth. -0-
