"Slavianski Bazaar" is becoming more spectacular every year - Aniko Rehviasvili

July 16, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" is increasing its spectacle level. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent about the forum by People's Artist of Ukraine, professor, jury member of the X International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012" Aniko Rechiashvili. "This is my eighth or ninth time at the 'Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk', and I can confidently say that it is a professional festival, as evidenced by the number of participants, who this year represent 28 countries. It is important that throughout all the years of its existence, the forum has maintained its attitude and demand for professionalism, a serious approach to vocals, and at the same time, it is increasing the level of showmanship and spectacle," said Aniko Rechiashvili. The artist admitted that she has a better attitude towards the Vitebsk festival than towards "Eurovision" because the "Slavianski Bazaar" is based on professionalism and the purity of creativity. As a jury member, Aniko Rechiashvili is participating in the International Children's Music Competition for the second time. "It is very pleasant that it is developing and growing. The children's competition has a new face, a new emphasis, because the program that is unobtrusively offered to both children and jury members, the direction is sensitively different from what it was before. In addition, more attention is noticeably paid to the competition, its organization. The already pleasant atmosphere of this holiday has improved," the interlocutor stated, emphasizing that Belarus has always been distinguished by its ability to warmly and beautifully receive its guests, but now this is acquiring some professional, masterful features. The artist admitted that she is delighted with how the children's competition is organized and what the organizers come up with. Aniko Rechiashvili also noted that the jury members at the competition have a difficult task. "The strongest children come to the festival, and it is very difficult to choose a winner from them - they are all the best. There are no random children here. We feel this, and in Kyiv, we always try to prepare very seriously for the competition," she added. The main director and producer of the anniversary International Children's Music Competition, Irina Kovleno, took the motive of the fairy tale by American writer L. Frank Baum "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" as the basis. More than five hundred people are involved in the preparation and organization of the competition. Traditionally, these are the choreographic and musical groups of the "Vitebsk" Culture Center: the Honored Amateur Collective of the Republic of Belarus choreographic ensemble "Zorka", the exemplary dance ensemble "Egoza", the exemplary ballroom dance ensemble "Mozaika", the Honored Amateur Collective of the Republic of Belarus dance ensemble "Lavonikha", the exemplary children's pop song studio "Forum", the folk theater-studio of modern choreography, the folk youth theater "Koleso", the best choreographic groups of the city: the classical dance ensemble "Pirouette", the exemplary dance ensemble "Ladushki", the show ballet "Sensatsiya", and the "Paralleli" studio of Anastasia Makhova. The program is adorned by the student theater of the St. Petersburg University of Arts, familiar to the Vitebsk public, and the Moscow circus "Krakatuk". The draw for the competition took place the day before in the park named after the Soviet Army. It is noteworthy that the usual excitement and tension among the participants were not observed: the children were happily engaged in games, rides, and horseback riding. No one felt lonely on the emerald glade, as each of the children was eagerly awaited and greeted by name, with fairy-tale characters from Oz loudly chanting their names. Having received a pair of magic slippers with their performance numbers, the young contestants launched balloons into the sky, on each of which they wrote their cherished wishes. -0-
