"Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" is inscribed in golden letters in the history of Belarusian art - P. Latushko
8 July, Vitebsk / Tatyana Pastushenko - BELTA /. "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" is inscribed in golden letters in the history of Belarusian art. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the Minister of Culture of Belarus, Pavel Latushko.
"An exceptional feature of this festival is its traditionality - it is being held for the twentieth time. Representatives of different nationalities gather here and demonstrate the best of their culture on stage, in theatrical art, and cinema," the minister said. At the same time, in his opinion, the international forum should evolve, develop, and seek new forms and approaches in its organization and conduct.
One of the features of the current "Slavianski Bazaar" will be the First Festival of Arts of Belarusians of the World, which will open in Vitebsk on July 9 - on this day, a gala concert of amateur art groups will take place on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater.
"It is important that the state does not forget about Belarusians abroad who preserve national traditions and carry the Belarusian word," the minister said. At the same time, it is extremely important for Belarus to develop relations with those states where our compatriots live.
Pavel Latushko also recalled that the Ministry of Culture is currently working on the draft state program "Belarusians in the World". "If it is supported by the government, we hope that cooperation with Belarusians abroad will become systematic, not only in the field of culture, but also in education, economy, and other areas," the minister said.-0-
