The Investigative Committee is conducting a check into the death of a Russian specialist at Naftan

The Novopolotsk city department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus is conducting an investigation into a fatal accident at Naftan OJSC, the official representative of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk region, Inna Gorbacheva, told a BELTA correspondent. As a result of the collapse of scaffolding at Naftan OJSC, a Russian citizen born in 1957 died. A technical inspector of the St. Petersburg branch of a Norwegian company, a Belarusian citizen born in 1978, was injured and taken to the hospital. The scaffolding on which people were located collapsed in a reservoir under construction with a volume of 10 thousand cubic meters. Specialists from the Vitebsk regional department of the State Labor Inspectorate are also investigating the causes of the tragic incident. -0-
