Aircraft assembly fitters will be trained in Orsha for the first time
July 29, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Aircraft assembly fitters will be trained for the first time from the current academic year at the Orsha State Vocational Lyceum of Machine Building. The initiative to open a new specialty belongs to the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, the enterprise's director Vladimir Troitsky told a BELTA correspondent.
The increase in the number of orders for the repair of helicopters and other aircraft equipment required an increase in the number of qualified workers. As Vladimir Troitsky noted, it is unprofitable for the enterprise to train specialists on its own, so the plant management turned to the lyceum for help. In accordance with the agreements, the educational institution will train two groups of students - based on 9th and 11th grades. The training programs have been agreed with the enterprise, which also provided assistance in preparing teaching materials. The plant guarantees industrial practice and employment. The average salary at the enterprise exceeds Br700 thousand, while 5th-6th category workers receive more than Br1 million.
As reported in the education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant is not the only enterprise that has initiated the opening of new specialties in vocational lyceums and colleges. At the suggestion of the joint-stock company "Polotsk-Steklovolokno", groups of warping machine operators, sizing machine operators and weavers will be recruited this year. The wishes of road organizations and consumer service enterprises regarding specialist training have been met. About a dozen new qualifications will be opened in the region's vocational educational institutions.
In the Vitebsk region, 31 vocational and technical educational institutions train workers in 67 professions and 134 qualifications. 12.5 thousand young men and women are undergoing training. This year, lyceums, colleges and vocational schools expect 10.5 thousand graduates from basic and secondary schools. Admissions committees continue their work. -0-
