Slovakia invests in the construction of livestock farms in the Vitebsk region

Livestock farms with Slovak investments will appear in Lepel and Dokshytsy districts of Vitebsk region, as reported by Konstantin Cherny, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee.

"The Slovaks intend to invest in the creation of farms. In Lepel district, it will be beef cattle breeding, and in Dokshytsy district - sheep breeding. This branch of animal husbandry was once popular in the Vitebsk region," said Konstantin Cherny. "The farms will become a kind of pilot projects, where mechanisms for cooperation with foreign investors in the construction of larger livestock complexes and dairy farms, also needed by the region, will be worked out."

A joint venture for waste processing has already been established by the Slovaks in Orekhovsk, Orsha district. The project was in development for about a year and a half. The investors found a partner - the Vitebsk Radio Components Plant "Monolit". The partners developed a concept for interaction and established an enterprise in a small town. This is a successful cooperation option, stated the representative of the regional executive committee. Today, the VI International Economic Forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" will continue its work in Vitebsk.

At the forum's platform, cities and districts of the region will present their investment projects. "The projects are diverse, mainly of a production nature, designed to benefit local budgets. At the same time, about 30 projects have been worked out in detail. Conditionally speaking, they can be discussed in detail today. We are fully prepared for a substantive dialogue on each of them. Another 50-60 projects are plans, ideas, prospects. Their implementation will require additional time," the interlocutor summarized.
