Union parliamentarians will discuss public security issues on September 29-30 in Vitebsk

September 24, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A joint meeting of the commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia for Security, Defense and Crime Prevention, together with representatives of the legislative authorities of the Vitebsk, Pskov and Smolensk regions, will be held on September 29-30 in Vitebsk, the department of ideological work of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The joint meeting will address issues of ensuring the security of the border regions of Belarus and Russia, the interaction of authorities of the states participating in the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State in ensuring public security, and improving the regulatory framework for strengthening legality and law and order. Deputies also plan to consider the progress of the implementation of the Union State programs in the field of security and crime prevention, and to visit work collectives and military units. -0-
