Union parliamentarians will present special prizes at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk"

Deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia will visit the XXVIII International Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" and will present special prizes to the forum participants, the press service of the assembly reported.

"The festival makes a significant contribution to the process of uniting the peoples of Belarus and Russia," the press service noted. - The Parliamentary Assembly supports all initiatives aimed at the integration of Belarus and Russia, including the development of dialogue between Slavic cultures. Annual meetings of artists and their grateful audiences on the Vitebsk land symbolize the centuries-old fraternal friendship between Belarusians and Russians."

The press service recalled that the Union State participates in the co-financing of the festival and its organization. Traditionally, since 2003, the Day of the Union State has been held at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". Deputies annually participate in the festival, acting as organizers and guests. The forum program includes events held with the participation of representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia and the Standing Committee of the Union State. The Parliamentary Assembly has established two special prizes for participants of the international pop song performers' competition and two special prizes for participants of the international children's music competition.

Deputies will traditionally award the best performers of the pop and children's competitions from Belarus and Russia. Parliamentarians will attend the grand opening and closing ceremonies of the festival, the competition concerts of pop song performers and the children's music competition, and will take part in a press conference dedicated to the opening of the "Slavianski Bazaar".

"Another traditional event during the deputies' stay at the "Slavianski Bazaar" is the visit of representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly to social institutions in the Vitebsk region.

This year, parliamentarians will familiarize themselves with the work of the State Educational Institution "Social-Pedagogical Center of the Vitebsk District. Children's Social Shelter". In addition, parliamentarians will hold meetings with the leadership of the districts of the city of Vitebsk and visit Vitebsk educational institutions.
