Soloist of 'Pesniary' to head the jury of the youth festival in Orsha

The youth creativity festival "Orshansky Pervotsvet" will be held in Orsha on April 15-16, the head of the youth affairs department of the Orsha City Executive Committee, Oleg Smirnovsky, told a BELTA correspondent. The annual festival will bring together creative youth from vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions of Orsha for the 13th time. This year, after three preliminary qualifying rounds, 44 groups have earned the right to participate in it, and they will perform in the nominations "vocals", "declamation" and "choreography". Oleg Smirnovsky noted that the skill level of the participants and the prestige of this creative competition are constantly growing. This is evidenced by the extensive preliminary training of young people for the qualifying stages, their serious work with teachers in anticipation of the final, and the high level of the professional jury of the competition. For example, this year it will be headed by Valery Skorozhonok, a soloist of the popular Belarusian vocal-instrumental ensemble "Pesniary". The winners of the festival will be announced on April 16. The event is organized by the youth affairs department of the Orsha City Executive Committee, the House of Culture of Railway Workers, and the regional television company "Skif". -0-
