SOOO "LLK-Naftan" plans to enter the markets of the UAE, Iran, Pakistan, and Africa

July 22, Minsk / Irina Aniskevich - BELTA /. SOOO "LLK-Naftan" (Novopolotsk) plans to enter new markets in 2010, including the UAE, Iran, Pakistan, and a number of African countries. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by the enterprise's marketing department. Contracts for product supplies have already been concluded with representatives of these countries. In particular, the company plans to supply new foreign consumers with additive packages for lubricating oils RA-2503-1, RA-2503-2, RA-2503-3, RA-2503-4, RA-4501. These multifunctional additive packages are used to produce universal motor oils for passenger and commercial vehicles, in conjunction with thickening, pour point depressant, and antioxidant additives. Specialists explained that at the current level of engine manufacturing development, the use of oil without additives is practically impossible, as they provide effective engine protection. For this reason, all modern motor oils contain additive packages, the total content of which can reach 20%. The Pakistani market will also receive the Lukoil LLK-2508-1 pour point depressant additive. It prevents the crystallization of paraffin and thus the thickening of motor oil, which occurs when its temperature drops to minus 15 degrees Celsius. Supply volumes will be determined by customers, but there is information that the demand for additives from major motor oil manufacturers in the UAE, Iran, Pakistan, and African countries is high, the enterprise noted. According to the marketing department, SOOO "LLK-Naftan" plans to increase its production volume by 43% in the current year compared to 2009, producing 29.1 thousand tons of products. Export supplies are planned to increase by 53%. Currently, 85% of the products manufactured at the enterprise are supplied to Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, and Tatarstan. SOOO "LLK-Naftan" was established on April 28, 2006, in accordance with the protocol of instructions from the President of Belarus. The founders are OJSC "Naftan" (Belarus) and LLK International B.V. (Netherlands, a subsidiary of OJSC "LUKOIL", Russia). The main activities of SOOO "LLK-Naftan" include the production and sale of additives and additive packages for lubricating oils, with the priority of supplying OJSC "Naftan" and OJSC "LUKOIL" plants with additives and additive packages for lubricating oils, including to reduce the dependence of these enterprises on imports of additives from far abroad. At the same time, SOOO "LLK-Naftan" possesses the largest production capacities for the output of oil additives in the CIS.
