SOOO "San Marco" will increase its production volume by 20% in 2009
March 27, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The joint Belarusian-German limited liability company (LLC) "San Marco" will increase its production volume by 20% in 2009, the enterprise director Pavel Martynov told a BELTA correspondent.
According to him, this is due to the inclusion of the third of four planned technological lines for sewing shoe uppers with a capacity of 720 pairs per shift into the production chain. Currently, the enterprise's personnel are mastering new equipment, so its capabilities are not yet fully utilized. The last, fourth line is planned to be launched at the end of 2009 - the beginning of 2010.
Currently, "San Marco's" capacities allow for the monthly production of about 70 thousand pairs of children's, men's, and women's shoes. The planned expansion of production will not only increase them to 85 thousand pairs per month but also create jobs. Thus, for the new line, the staff is increasing by 120 people, 90 of whom have already been hired, the head said.
"Overall, despite the difficult economic conditions, the enterprise is operating stably, maintaining the level of production and export supplies, which account for 35%," noted Pavel Martynov. The main foreign sales market is Russia. The products of the Vitebsk enterprise are also sold in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and among the new sales markets is Kazakhstan.
The enterprise was founded in 2003. It is part of the "Marco" company. The number of employees is about 850 people. -0-
