The shooting competition for the prizes of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee identified the most accurate shooters in the region

First, the trainees of the military-patriotic classes and the Vitebsk Cadet School demonstrated their skills, skillful and effective use of small arms, and then – law enforcement officers and the leadership of the regional executive committee. The youngsters determined the most accurate shooter in the shooting range of the regional organizational structure of DOSAAF, shooting from an air rifle, and the men in uniform – at the training ground of military unit 52287 "Losvido" in the Vitebsk region, using a Makarov pistol. As reported in the organizing committee, the competitions are held to establish close interaction between departments and solve tasks arising in daily and official activities.

The head of the region, Nikolai Sherstnev, also tried his hand, showing a decent result and promising that such events would become traditional. As a result of the intense competition, the first place in the team event was won by representatives of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Department, the second step of the podium was taken by athletes from the KGB department, and the third – by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations department. In the individual competition, Leonid Gorolevich from the Investigative Committee had no equal; he scored 89 points.
