A firefighter from the Sharkovshchyna Emergency Situations Department rescued a man from a fire

March 23, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. An employee of the Sharkovshchina District Department for Emergency Situations, Andrei Vasyuk, carried a man out of a smoke-filled apartment. Another victim could not be saved. The press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told a BELTA correspondent. The fire occurred in the village of Stanislavovo. Senior officer of the internal service Andrei Vasyuk, during a fire and technical inspection of the residential sector, noticed the smell of smoke in one of the houses, which was spreading from an apartment on the second floor. Despite heavy smoke and burning property, the rescuer entered the premises and found a man with burnt legs on the floor in one of the rooms. Having carried the victim to a safe place, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employee returned to the apartment and carried out another person from the fire, who was already dead. It turned out to be the owner of the apartment, born in 1953. His son, born in 1980, received fourth-degree burns on both shins and was hospitalized in the central district hospital. Employees of the Sharkovshchina District Department of Emergency Situations, who arrived at the call of their colleague, extinguished the fire within the affected area. As established, the cause of the fire was carelessness while smoking by the deceased man. In the room where the fire started from an unextinguished cigarette butt, the floor burned through, bedding and property were damaged. -0-
