Stopping cars driven by women, the men in uniform congratulated the ladies on the upcoming holiday of spring and beauty, and presented them with bouquets of tulips, souvenir gifts from the "Svetofor" driving school, mugs, pens, notebooks, certificates for training at the driving school, reminded them of traffic rules, and wished them safe roads.
– It has become a good tradition for Vitebsk to congratulate women. This year, we decided to congratulate the fair half of Vitebsk residents on the upcoming Women's Day on our holiday – Police Day, – said the head of the inter-district traffic police department, police lieutenant colonel Ruslan Valeryevich Babakin. – The uniqueness of the event is that we are timing it to the Year of Historical Memory, so for the first time, a "historical" policeman is participating in the event along with modern traffic police officers. This year, the crews are unusual: in the uniform of modern employees, the head of the inter-district traffic police department, police lieutenant colonel Ruslan Valeryevich Babakin, with his deputy; in the uniform of a "historical" policeman, the deputy head of the traffic police department, police lieutenant colonel Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov.
– Did I break the traffic rules? – this was the main question from every girl stopped by a State Traffic Inspectorate officer. But upon learning that the reason for the stop was a pleasant surprise, the girls immediately relaxed and gladly accepted the congratulations.
