EMERCOM employees of the Dubrovno district found berry pickers lost in the swamp in three hours

Rescuers of the Dubrovno district found berry pickers lost in the swamp in three hours, the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed a BELTA correspondent. Two young residents of Dubrovno, born in 1989 and 1977, went to pick cranberries in the swamps of the Osintorfsky village council the day before, early in the morning. The collection of useful berries turned out to be such an engaging activity that the women, having lost all vigilance, found themselves in impassable marshes. They could not get out on their own. However, the berry pickers were lucky twice. Firstly, they had a mobile phone with them, which had a weak signal. Thanks to this, at dusk, they managed to call the district emergency department and report their plight. Secondly, among the search group of 16 people were two experienced rescuers who knew the area well, as they had previously extinguished fires in these swamps. Following the directions received from the unfortunate berry pickers, they were able to find and lead the women out in three hours, already in the dark. By the way, the nature lovers still managed to carry the berries, collected by hard work, out of the swamps. -0-
