Social housing, transport stops, and medical care: Linevich held a reception for citizens in Chashniki

Getting social housing, equipping public transport stops for children, medical care and treatment - these are the issues raised by residents of the region during a direct telephone line and personal reception of citizens in Chashniki to the President's Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich.

Calls were received not only from the Chashniki district but also from the regional center. A resident of Vitebsk asked for help in organizing medical examination and treatment. In 2012, during treatment at a dental clinic, the anesthetic administered to her caused a painful reaction in her body, and after some time, the woman was given a second group of disability. The resident of Vitebsk asks for assistance in treatment, as she is undergoing examination at her own expense. Anatoly Linevich assured that the situation would be investigated and the applicant would be answered after a detailed study of the situation.

A resident of the village of Pochayeviсhi called the direct telephone line with a request to equip a public transport stop. Children use the bus to travel to the district center for school, and they have to stand in the open waiting for transport. The President's Aide instructed to resolve the issue as soon as possible so as not to endanger the health of schoolchildren.

A pensioner from Chashniki came to a personal reception with several questions. He is also concerned about the condition of the bus stop near the gymnasium, which lacks a roof and walls. This issue was raised in the local newspaper, and the head of the housing and communal services department responded to it. The enterprise does not have funds for the improvement of the bus stop this year, as stated in the publication. The resident of the district center suggested looking for inexpensive material substitutes and making at least a temporary canopy so that schoolchildren do not have to stand in the open during bad weather. The man was also interested in the work of the local fuel organization and the pellet production enterprise. He noted that wood chips and lumber are stored in the open, and there is disorder on the supervised territory of the fuel pellet production enterprise. Anatoly Linevich took this issue under control and instructed to deal with the enterprises, to check compliance with the technology of storing wood chips and lumber. He also informed the applicant that he would be invited to the enterprises and familiarized with the production process.

A resident of Chashniki applied for a citizen reception on behalf of her daughter with a disability. She has been on the waiting list for social housing since 2010. The queue is moving slowly, with an average of 5 people receiving the desired meters per year. The woman was offered a rental apartment in a new building, which will be commissioned next year. Anatoly Linevich instructed to explain to the applicant the conditions and possibilities of obtaining such housing. The situation with social apartments in the district is not simple, new houses are not being built. Next year, a 40-apartment social building will begin construction in Novolukoml with the help of Chinese capital. The woman will have a choice – to stay in rental housing in the district center or move to a new building in the young city of energy workers. Specialists will explain to her the housing options, and the choice will be hers.

"Receiving citizens for representatives of authorities of any level is a necessity. It is important to hear what people are concerned about, what their problems are, in order to see how the authorities interact with the population on the ground, and to advise, to guide, if there are any missteps. This grounds everyone. People talk about what worries them. Today there were not many applicants, and this, on the one hand, is alarming, because the population may not trust the representatives of the authorities. However, from communication with representatives of the Chashniki District Executive Committee, from their reaction, it is more likely to say that they work with the residents of the district, promptly solve issues on the spot. Full interaction with citizens is taking place. I believe that the residents of this region are satisfied with the answers they receive. We saw that people are concerned not only about personal problems, but also about public ones. They pay attention to facts of mismanagement, they are worried about what is happening in the district, and this is also important. The authorities will pay attention to this. Naturally, all applicants will receive answers to all questions, everything will be explained to them," - noted Anatoly Linevich following the direct line and reception of citizens.
