Joint Belarusian-Italian production will allow NPP "Belkotlomash" to enter new sales markets

The engineering company "ITI ENGINEERING" has shown interest in the enterprise that develops and manufactures boilers for heating with renewable energy sources. This was announced by the General Director of NPP "Belkotlomash" Viktor Kravchenko during a visit to the enterprise by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.

Currently, "Belkotlomash" and Belarus as a whole produce boilers mainly with a capacity of up to 4 MW. The Italians, on the other hand, produce such equipment with a capacity of over 4 MW. The mutual interest is obvious: boilers of Belarusian production will enter the European Union market, and jointly produced equipment using Italian technology at the enterprise in Beshenkovichi will be supplied to CIS countries. This project is aimed at import substitution and export of energy installations.

As Viktor Kravchenko noted, the existing equipment at the enterprise is 96 percent suitable for the new production and fully satisfied the Italian partners. Only a few units need to be acquired, which will be financed by both own funds and the innovation fund.

In total, "Belkotlomash" produces more than 80 types of products, however, the main share of the manufactured equipment consists of boilers operating on local types of fuel: wood chips, pellets, peat, sawdust, and firewood. The design and project bureau created at the enterprise pays great attention to these developments. The technology for burning milled fuel, which reduces the cost of 1 Gcal of thermal energy, should be especially noted. Its implementation allowed the enterprise to enter the markets of Russia and Ukraine, and negotiations are currently underway for supplies to Kazakhstan and the Baltic states. According to the results of the 1st quarter of the current year, revenue from the sale of products, works, and services amounted to more than 14 billion rubles, with exports accounting for about 30 percent of this volume. The sale of equipment in the local market contributes to the implementation of the subprogram "Small Energy" of the innovation and investment development program of the Vitebsk region. The stable year-on-year positive dynamics of using local fuel sources confirm this.
