Современный центр безопасности областного управления МЧС открылся в Витебске
There are many ways to teach citizens the basics and skills of safe behavior, but many years of experience show that in practice, knowledge is acquired much more effectively. Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations decided to offer the region's residents to immerse themselves in "real emergency situations" and created a special safety center.

The regional department of the State Industrial Supervision almost rebuilt the building on Vostretsov Street from scratch into a unique multifunctional training facility. The center will allow people to master the skills of safe behavior in situations that occur at home and on the street, learn the procedures for various emergencies and basic protection methods, and first aid techniques. Preschoolers, students of general education institutions, university students, employees of enterprises and organizations will be able to undergo practical training here.

The colorfully decorated premises of the center are equipped with high-tech educational simulators. For example, using augmented reality, one can study the causes of fires, evacuate through a smoky labyrinth, and extinguish fires using simulator fire extinguishers. One of the rooms simulates the conditions of a real thunderstorm, and "students" must determine the correct and safe shelter. In another room, young people aged 12 and over can complete a safety quest by using logical reasoning to choose the correct action to prevent or eliminate an emergency. At the end of July, it will finallyA virtual reality room has been completed, where children aged 14 and older, as well as adults, will be able to experience the highest level of real-life situation simulation.

The operating procedure of the center will be determined by the ministry. It is planned that organized groups and all interested individuals will be able to visit it by prior appointment on a paid basis and participate in safety quests.
