The P.M. Masherov State Farm is named after its fellow countryman
The state enterprise "Sovkhoz named after P.M. Masherov" of Senno district, Vitebsk region, bears the name of its fellow countryman.
Pyotr Mironovich was born in these parts - in the village of Shirki, which is 9 kilometers from the center of the sovkhoz. His childhood passed here, and he studied at school in the village of Moshkany. Today, the sovkhoz is one of the leading farms in the district. The central estate of the farm, the village of Moshkany, has become an agro-town. Over 1000 people live on its territory. All conditions are created for them here: a school for 250 places, a music school, a kindergarten for 75 places, a House of Culture, a library, a medical outpatient clinic, a shopping center, and much more.
The farm honors the memory of its fellow countryman. An exhibition dedicated to P.M. Masherov is displayed in the local school.
