This point of view was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets. In his opinion, in order for enterprises not to duplicate each other, not to compete among themselves, to respond promptly to market demands and to master the production of import-substituting products, it is necessary to unite them into holdings or similar structures with unified scientific support. In the Vitebsk region, along with the flax holding, it would be possible to create a machine-tool holding, including enterprises in Vitebsk and Orsha, and a radio-electronic holding, which would include Vitebsk's "Vityaz", "Evistor", Novopolotsk's "Izmeritel" and other enterprises in this industry. Another incentive for mastering the production of import-substituting products should be the motivation of engineering and technical staff. For the development and implementation of new products, a designer or engineer should receive a tangible cash bonus, Alexander Kosinets is confident. In the Vitebsk region, for certain groups of goods, intermediate imports are 100%. Therefore, establishing the production of components at its own enterprises or in cooperation with other economic entities in the region is relevant for many enterprises. In the region, 25 programs and subprograms will be implemented in the next five years, affecting the development of almost all sectors of the economy. The main emphasis in these programs is placed on the creation of import-substituting and innovative industries. For example, the "Vitebskaya Raduga" and "Vitaavto" programs are aimed at creating import-substituting industries for the production of LED equipment, lighting medical equipment, special vehicles and hydraulic lifts. -0-
