Vitebsk rescuers are holding a preventive campaign «Do not leave children alone!»

Rescuers will once again remind both children and parents about safety rules as part of the republican campaign "Do not leave children unattended!", timed to coincide with the International Day of Families and Children's Protection Day. Preventive events will be held throughout the country, including in the Vitebsk region, from May 11 to June 1.

Children's mischief with fire and, as a consequence, the death of minors in fires is the number one problem that the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will focus on. They will also pay special attention to the necessity and importance of teaching a child safe behavior from the earliest age, will tell and show how joint family leisure can be made interesting, diverse and useful, while excluding domestic childhood injuries.

The first thematic meetings will be held from May 11 to 15 in shopping and entertainment centers, cinemas before children's screenings and other places intended for family recreation, where interactive platforms with educational contests, quizzes, and games under the slogan "Spend time with benefit" will be set up.

From May 16 to 24, rescuers will visit maternity hospitals, children's polyclinics, healthy child rooms, women's clinics, and maternity schools.

And from May 27 to 30, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will visit large families and family-type orphanages, where they will present the project "Hold Children by the Hand" and conduct thematic games based on the Ministry of Emergency Situations cartoon "The Magic Book".

The final events will be held on open city grounds.
