The performance "Rachmaninoff" will open the International Festival of Modern Choreography in Vitebsk

Шоу состоится сегодня в 19.00 в концертном зале "Витебск".
Как отмечают организаторы, заявки на участие в отборочном видеотуре подавали более 50 конкурсантов из четырех стран: Беларуси, России, Казахстана и Армении. В следующий этап прошли 22 коллектива.
В четверг в Национальном академическом драматическом театре имени Я. Коласа витебского зрителя ждет вечер одноактных балетов. Независимая компания современного танца Libertatem покажет спектакль "Гауди". Во втором отделении российский театр танца "Дорога из города" предложит посмотреть работу под названием "Не будите спящую собаку".
Вечер 25 ноября на международном фестивале посвятят памяти Евгения Панфилова - в этом году исполнилось 20 лет со дня смерти маэстро. Артисты театра "Балет Евгения Панфилова" восстановили его работу "Капитуляция". Также на витебской сцене они представят постановку "Продолжение следует".
Традиционно в субботу пройдут финалы международного конкурса - в 16.00 и 19.00. Сопровождать их будут спектакли санкт-петербургского театра современного танца "Канонданс" и пермского "Балета Евгения Панфилова". Последний покажет одну из своих новых работ - Libertad, посвященную творчеству латиноамериканской художницы Фриды Кало.
Церемония награждения и выступление лауреатов международного конкурса современной хореографии состоится 27 ноября, в день закрытия форума. Во второй части шоу в концертном зале "Витебск" выступят артисты театра "Провинциальные танцы" из Екатеринбурга. Данс-компания представит спектакль "Кожа".
The International Festival of Modern Choreography kicks off in Vitebsk today, the forum organizers reported.
The program will open with art exhibitions ("Vladimir Vasiliev's Dancing Brush") and photography ("Loaders of the Wind"), a presentation of competition participants, and the performance "Rachmaninoff" by the F. Berezikov State Youth Ensemble of Song and Dance "Altai". By the way, the troupe from Barnaul is visiting IFMC for the first time. The performance dedicated to composer Sergei Rachmaninoff was staged by renowned choreographer Alexey Rastorguev. The show will take place today at 7:00 PM in the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
As the organizers note, over 50 contestants from four countries – Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Armenia – applied to participate in the qualifying video tour. 22 troupes advanced to the next stage.
On Thursday, the Yanka Kupala National Academic Drama Theatre will host an evening of one-act ballets for the Vitebsk audience. The independent contemporary dance company Libertatem will present the performance "Gaudi". In the second part, the Russian dance theatre "Road from the City" will offer a performance titled "Don't Wake a Sleeping Dog".
The evening of November 25 at the international festival will be dedicated to the memory of Evgeny Panfilov – this year marks the 20th anniversary of the maestro's death. Artists from the Evgeny Panfilov Ballet Theatre have revived his work "Capitulation". They will also present the production "To Be Continued" on the Vitebsk stage.
Traditionally, the finals of the international competition will be held on Saturday at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. They will be accompanied by performances from the St. Petersburg contemporary dance theatre "Kanodans" and the Perm-based "Evgeny Panfilov Ballet". The latter will showcase one of its new works – Libertad, dedicated to the art of Latin American artist Frida Kahlo.
The award ceremony and performance by the laureates of the international competition of modern choreography will take place on November 27, the closing day of the forum. In the second part of the show at the Vitebsk Concert Hall, artists from the "Provincial Dances" theatre from Yekaterinburg will perform. The dance company will present the performance "Skin".
In addition to performances and competition entries, organizers will offer the discerning Vitebsk audience and forum participants a series of meetings, video lectures, master classes, and exhibitions.
The International Festival of Modern Choreography has returned to Vitebsk after a break. IFMC was canceled for two consecutive years due to the coronavirus pandemic and related restrictions.
