Veterinary service specialists from Belarus and Russia are adopting the experience of their Vitebsk colleagues in quality control matters
More than 60 specialists of veterinary services of Belarus and Russia are improving their qualifications in assessing the quality of livestock products at the Vitebsk Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
As told by Nikolai Motuzko, Vice-Rector of the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining of the VSMV, during the courses, students will master the technology and methods of quality control for various types of products: dairy, meat (including offal and sausages), fish, eggs, honey, as well as packaging and containers. Practical classes will cover sampling methods for veterinary research, as well as indirect causes (e.g., feed quality and animal diseases) that may affect their results. In addition, at seminars, specialists will conduct a comparative analysis of the technical regulations for products of the two countries.
It should be noted that educational cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine has been ongoing for several years. In 2014, 126 specialists from Belarus underwent training in similar courses in the Russian Federation.
